During the COVID-19 pandemic, we Identified the need to support older students who could no longer travel for their education. With this in mind, we established a secondary school in 2021, welcoming our first intake of 16 students. Our vision was to create a unique educational experience catering for our ever–changing world through a unique approach to teaching and learning.
As a fully registered Cambridge International school and a certified Cambridge Assessment centre, we will offer Lower Secondary and IGCSE. We will be introducingAS levels from2025.Matshwane College is registered with the Botswana Ministry of Education, the Independent Schools Association Botswana (ISAB), and the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa.
Matshwane Pre-school
Our pre-school enrolment is for 4 and 5 year olds. They have their own mini-campus and are a feeder school for our primary school. They have access to the school pool, ICT lab and other facilities, not usually associated with pre-schools. Their day starts at 08:00 and ends at 12:30. The school is licensed through the local council and complies with their requirements. The school is inspected annually. We believe that learning through play, structured and unstructured, is vital for optimum educational, emotional and social development.
